Tuesday Tidbits

~ Where are you people going??? Just when I was hoping to gain followers my followers are now dropping like flies. I need some love, y'all! Please don't leave me. ;)

~ I've been guilty of applying lip gloss at a red light. I have on the rare occasion even applied mascara. But like I said... the light was red! There are also those instances where I have had to do my full makeup in the car BUT hubby was driving. So, I wasn't being a careless drive. This morning I saw something I had not seen before. A man, driving a truck and SHAVING. Shaving his face! Seriously, how!?! It was weird. He was behind me. Crazy. Men, please don't do this. Just go with the 5 o'clock shadow...

~I got a hair cut over the weekend. The appointment was actually a little text misunderstanding between my hair girl and me. She only got the part of the text stating that my eyebrows needed a bush hog. She didn't get the part about needing a hair cut, which to ME was more important the the brows needing to be bush hogged. I ended up having to take care of the brows myself because she was on vacation at the time I text her, over a week ago, about my brows and hair. Still following? Anyway... I ended up getting the haircut but that was after being pushed back for my brow appointment by 45 minutes. I know you're lost now. So, here's my hair...
I got a ton of hair cut off. My hair did hit just below were my bra sits on my back. Super long. It was long and boring. My layers had grown out and the ends were icky. It's styled now with more layers that lay so lovely. It feels so light and nice. It felt weird at first because even though it is still long it felt super short. Anyway, I love it. Only I can tell I work with men because not a single one of the 3 noticed. Thankfully though they don't matter. haha

~ I can hardly believe that it is almost September. This year is going by pretty fast. It won't be too long before the stores have out Christmas decor... or maybe they already do? Yikes. Anyway, I'm so ready for fall and cooler temps. It has still been warm during the day here but cool in the mornings and tolerable in the evenings.

~ Monday is a holiday. My office is closed, school is out and this mama is excited!! Woohoo for long weekends and short work weeks. :)  Do you have any big Labor Day plans??

Football Week 1

Our team played their cross town rivals this past Saturday night. The game was home with a kickoff time of 7:00 pm. Hubby brought me a parking pass the night before and told me I would be waved right on through to the upper parking lot with no problem. He also gave me my game ticket which meant I would not have to wait in line or give my name at the pass gate. Nice.  However,

This was the game against our cross town rivals who are 6A State Champions. We are 3A State Champions. This game was huge for both teams, as most cross town rivals are. This game was also televised on our local CBS affiliate. Jerry Rice (football great) was in attendance and spoke to both teams prior to kickoff as well as did the coin toss. He probably did something else and I just don't know it.  There's also probably some other points to touch on but I can't think of all of them right now.

Jerry Rice in the flesh.

Hubby called me midafternoon to see what I was up to and what not. I asked how things were going at the stadium, mind you this was around 2:30pm, and he said that people were already lined up getting ready to pile in. The gates opened at 3pm. The game started at 7pm. So, another hour later I asked how things were. Stadium is filling up fast. Sweet. So, guess who arrived at the stadium at 4pm???? You guess correct if you said me.

The field looked awesome.

It was hot out.  I sat there for the few hours before the game started and once the sun went down it wasn't so bad. We were at least entertained with all the media and various things going on. Finally, the teams both came onto the field to warm up.

This guy sang the National Anthem and from what I was told he was on American Idol or something. I can't remember his name. Someone also said he went to the school. I'm so bad with names and remembering little details. oops. Anyway, he sang pretty well.

And it's kickoff time!!!

The game went back and forth with the other team scoring, our team scoring...missed field goals, fumbles, recoveries... you know, an exciting football game for the most part. The least exciting part was our team losing.
26-19

BUT they gave it their all and they played hard. We are proud of our Tornado football team!!

TTT

1. This playing football games on Saturday thing makes for a long week. My work week has felt especially long. I am especially glad that tomorrow is Friday. I just hope tomorrow is a quick day at work. Fridays are my favorite day of the week because we would normally be watching high school football but also because it is rest day. I've worked pretty hard at the gym this week and am ready for the rest day. I've gotta get my legs prepped for my 10 miler this weekend. Anyway, football on Saturday evening.... big cross town rival! Woohoo! GO Tornadoes!!!!

2. It is amazing how a little 20 lb, 3 month old puppy can clear the room with the smell coming out of her rear end. Oh my word, y'all. This little Sadie Belle has clear.the.room. gas! (Can you name the movie that line came from??) Bless her heart though as much as the pup can get on my last nerves and burn my last nose hair, I love her sweet face. I think I should take more pics so you guys can see how much she has grown. She is getting almost too big to pick up and just a few short months ago I wasn't in love with her because she still looked like a baby rat and fit in the palm of my hand.

3. I would normally post this on my running/weight loss blog but since pics are involved and I can't think of a different #3 well here ya go... I met my friend Kelsey at the gym tonight. She took a class and I was scheduled to run 6 miles. We got treadmills side by side and I had a great run. It was my first treadmill run without using my iPod. I impressed myself by being able to maintain my pace (10:20) and still talk to her. Afterwards the kids begged her to go eat with us at Chickfila..she came... we took some fun pics. This one is my fave....
Yep, I'm the kinda girl who runs 6 miles and then treats herself to a kids ice cream cone after dinner. Don't hate!

Random Ramblings

~ What day is it???  Yeah, so I'm late with my usual random post but I bet you didn't even miss it! ha
It's Wednesday, by the way. That means this work week is almost half over. I, for one, could not be much happier. I love the weekends.

~ 3rd graders have a lot more homework than k-2nd graders. Just sayin'. And my girl is not the self motivating type when it comes to homework. She tends to procrastinate like her mama. And her mama is not a fan of late night homework sessions. By late night, I mean 8:30-9:15. My girl should be counting zzzzzz's by that time. My mission tonight will be a better evening routine. Wait and see.

~ I was up early. I met my friend, Kelsey, bright (er, um..dark!) and early at my gym. I got a couple of guest passes a couple weeks ago and kindly gave her one. I may have begged her for a week to join me but I am glad she finally did! We met yesterday for spin class and then did an abs class after. Great burn! This morning we went to BodyPump. It was great too. I am going to need lots of caffeine today though because I didn't sleep so great last night and the puppy girl had me up at 4:08 am. My alarm was set for 5:15 so I basically feel like I got 3 hours of sleep. Or something like that.

~ Hubby said he thought I was really dreaming last night because I was talking/grunting or something in my sleep. I knew I tossed and turned. I remember my body hurting a lot. I cannot recall my dream though. I hate night's like that.

~ Oh and because I went to the gym early that means hubby had to get the kids and himself up and out the door to school alone. I did at least lay out clothes for both kids last night and went through backpacks before bed. I had all of my own stuff ready to go so that I could just get ready at the gym. I told hubby on the way out the door that if he needed me to just come home and get ready to help with kids and whatever else to text me by 6:45. Ok. So the phone never buzzed, no text. I went on after class and got ready at the gym. At 7:30 I decided to call because I knew by then he would have dropped the kids off. Of course.. OF COURSE.. everything went smooth and they were all 3 ready by 7 so they  had tons of time to sit around. Hmmmm. More on this topic later because I swear it could be a post on it's own. ;)

~ The East Coast had an earthquake yesterday. I first heard about it because at work there was a conference call and one of the callers had to go, "We're having an earthquake or something and we have to evacuate. I don't know what's going on." He was in DC. So, I immediately hit up my friend, Google. Sure enough. Mineral, VA 5.9. To the West Coasters this is probably nothing but even down here in lil East TN many felt it. I'm sure it was a crazy day for those folks in the DC area given the idea of bombs and what not.

~ I ordered these....Carpe Diem TOMS..yesterday and I cannot wait for them to get here and on my feet! I have been saying for months and months or maybe just weeks and weeks that I wanted some. After about 523897 text messages between my hubby and me he sent me one that said, "Seize the shoe and get the darn things or I am going to do it." Fine. Ordered. Done. Thankfully I found a coupon for $5 off because I was freaking at the cost. I do not spend that much $$ on shoes other than my running shoes. It's true. I live in $3 flip flops from Old Navy all summer/fall long. Regular shoes just aren't a part of my wardrobe usually. These will be a daily staple, I think. And I am already contemplating another pair. Maybe for Christmas. :)  The coolest thing is knowing that somewhere some child will get a pair of shoes, too! Yay.. go order YOU some TOMS!

~ My coffee cup is now empty. That means I gotta go. Not there, silly. It means I gotta get off this here blog and get more work done. Have a great day y'all!

Football - Week 0

We had our first football yesterday. Yep, a Saturday game. It was part of a "bowl" here in town so there were actually 2 games. We were lucky enough to be chosen to play the first game with a kickoff time of 5pm. 'Tis a lovely time of day for a football game. It had been in the 90s all.day.long. It was a little cloudy some of the evening but mostly sunny. In fact, the sun was in my face the entire game.

I wore a cotton tee and shorts. I was soaking wet by the end of the game. I didn't have to take the kids, which was nice. I also didn't take my camera so I have no pictures of the night. bummer. I know you wanted to see the woman I had to sit behind among other interesting things I saw while in the stands. Or maybe since I blog about being a football coaches wife you wanted to see pics of football! haha

Next time.

Our team won, even if it was not the prettiest of wins.
21-0

Way to go, Tornadoes!

I'm sweet no matter what else you've been told!

One of my awesome bloggy runner mom gals even said I was sweet. And because she is SO sweet herself, she gifted me an awesome bloggy award to prove my sweetness. ;)

And because I was given this award I have to tell you 7 lesser known facts about me. Hmmmm.

1. I was born and raised in Georgia where I lived until I was 19 years old. But I moved to TN on a crazy whim when I was 19 and the only people I knew were my dad and stepmom.

2. I say bad words too often. Seriously, don't give me that look...I'm ashamed enough about it.

3. I met my hubby after only living in TN for a few weeks and we have been together almost daily ever since the first night I met him, which was at a birthday party for someone I didn't even know! haha...true story!!

4.  Even though I run and workout almost every day, I am pretty lazy.  It would be funny if I elaborated on that, huh.

5.  I hate spiders, snakes and any kind of rodent. Hate them.

6. I didn't even like football before I met my husband.

7. I sweat the small stuff too often. And I probably should go so far as to say I don't just sweat it but I let it get me... stark raving mad sometimes and I take it out on those around me (read: family).  And after re-reading this I realize that I have a lot to work on.  The first step is admitting you have a problem. :)

Ok....so I think ALL of my blog readers are super sweet and deserve an award (I'm not just saying that because I am too lazy to narrow it down to 10 of you either... or am I?)...that being said, If YOU want to play along, please grab the award and let me know you did so I can come read your juicy facts.

And thanks, RunDMT for the award and telling these fine folks you think I'm sweet. :)

Tuesday Randoms (and Wednesday, too)

~ I was going to blog yesterday but forgot. Or maybe it was that I got lazy. Well, that's not totally true because after I got home from work yesterday I did not sit down until I actually was getting into bed at close to 10pm. True story.  I won't bore you with my afterwork details though.

~ I just drank a mug of hot lemon water. The stuff taste horrible but I swear it works for fluid retention, not that I was exactly suffering but I told myself I was. Plus, I didn't want to waste the lemons I bought last week. ha

~ Last week Annabelle came home with one of those "friendship pins" around a string on her neck. I laughed about it and remembered having them hooked to my shoelace when I was a kid. So, I was telling Annabelle this and told her how fun they were to make. She asked if we could make them over the weekend. Of course! So we did just that Saturday afternoon. 100 of them. And they all are still sitting in a sandwich baggie on the side table by my chair. haha What does one do with 100 "friendship pins?"

~ It's been so nice outside in the mornings here the last few days. I am so ready for the temps to be cool and breezy all day long.

~ I haven't talked about football much but we have our first game this week. I skipped the jamboree last week because it was hot, I didn't feel like being in that large of a crowd and I just wanted to rest. I don't remember what the kids and I did exactly though.

~ I ran a race on Saturday morning. I even got a new 5k PR (31:05)! And I ran 8 miles solo on Sunday morning before church. That was tough. I usually do my long runs with friends but had no one to go with this week. Mentally it was challenging but I made my way through it in a decent enough time to feel good about it.

~I started writing this yesterday and once again I didn't finish. I try hard to blog but some days just get hard. Monday night it took Annabelle forever and 2 hours to do homework. I got home late from the gym last night, scarfed down a bowl of chili and the rest of the night is kind of a blur but both nights I was in my bed by 9:45.

~Please, keep your fingers crossed for me. Without giving too many details in blog land I am just hoping for a great opportunity to come along for me (and my family). Thanks in advance!

~ I love the change in weather. However, the crap it is doing to my sinuses I could live without. Ick.

~ I should be printing pics of my girl's life from birth til now. She has a project due Friday at school and we have just procrastinated long enough. I am so bad at printing pictures. I take a bazillion but never print them. I should get on that.

~ I need to get a new white tee shirt. The one I have seems to be getting that "look."

S'mores?

We haven't camped with our kids yet and with it being football season already we likely won't go this year. They've probably only had one real S'more in their lives so far.
I was messing around on Pinterest one day and found a recipe for crescent S'mores. So, I bought the stuff and made them for the kids. Super easy and no fire to mess with.

Assemble, like so. Of course I probably added a few too many marshmellows or chocolate chips but I managed to get them to all fit inside so it's good! Here is what they looked like after baking.

They were soooooo yummy! Warm, gooey, chocolatey and the kids thought they were great. Anyway, just thought I would share. That's about as exciting as it got at our house this weekend.

Dear Mr. Motorcycle Driver Man:

Hello, sir.
You don't know me but I am the Mommy midsize SUV driver you pulled out in front of yesterday when you RAN THAT OCTAGONAL RED SIGN READING STOP!!!!  The word stop can be defined as:

stop
stopt; stop·ping; noun
verb (used with object)
1. to cease from, leave off, or discontinue: to stop running.
2. to cause to cease; put an end to: to stop noise in the street.
3. to interrupt, arrest, or check (a course, proceeding, process, etc.): Stop your work just a minute.
4. to cut off, intercept, or withhold: to stop supplies.
5. to restrain, hinder, or prevent (usually followed by from ): I couldn't stop him from going.

Here the one that would apply to a situation where there is a stop sign would be number 5. In which the vehicle, motorcycle, bike, four wheeler, skateboarder, etc would actually come to a halt and quit moving. However, sir, you must not have seen the sign. It looks something like this:

You see, sir, I realize that motorcycles are everywhere and that those of us driving cars, trucks, vans, suvs, etc should be aware (AS I WAS) I also believe that You, Mr. Motorcycle Man, should have to follow and obey all traffic rules. That would include stopping at stop signs. My complaint with you does not stop there though, sir.

As far as I know all motor vehicles including motor cycles come equipped with something called a blinker or turn signal. In your case, the one I would speak about would be a left hand turn signal. I also believe that in the event that your Harley Davidson motorcycle should not have a functioning turn signal/blinker there is a hand signal, which looks like this....
You should use this hand sign in case your blinker/turn signal is non functioning. However, based on the look of your Harley I would assume that your turn signal was working properly you just chose to not use it. Perhaps you feel powerful on your Harley and think you are invincible. Perhaps you just think you are one bad a** Harley man and just don't wanna use a signal or stop at stop signs because you're the man or something.

Let me say, sir, that I was not driving over the speed limit when you pulled out in front of me after you failed to stop at the stop sign. I was NOT following too closely behind you when you failed to use your turn signal. These are just merely two things I observed while driving behind you. I am cautious when I drive and do always watch out for motorcycles. It bugs me though when tough Harley driving men like yourself are just so careless. It bugs me when I see these bumber stickers on cars saying, "Motorcycles are everywhere....." but then see folks like yourself breaking all kinds of traffic laws.

What I am saying is, sir, that IF I have to watch out for YOU, then YOU should have to follow all the same rules of the road as I do. It would be awesome if you could also pass this along to any of your Harley (or other motorcycle) driving comrades. Please and thank you.

Have a great day and always wear a helmet?? ;)

Three Things Thursday

1. I was minding my own business this morning and making my coffee, well putting in the cream and Splenda, when to my right I saw a large, blackish creature scurry through the hall at work into an unused office. Of course I quit with the coffee thing and ran squeeling back to my desk. I didn't sit down though. No way. That little monster could have snuck up under my desk and tried to nibble my toes or something. I walked back in the hallway and could see that little jerk peeking out from under a file cabinet with it's beedy little eyes. It was like it was playing peek-a-boo with me. I just knew it was a huge rat so I labeled it as such, call me judgemental if you want. I know a rat when I see one. Anyhoo. One of the guys at work beat the cabinet until our furry friend (FOE!) came out of his hiding place and ran into another office. I don't care if I ever see that thing again. And I better not! I hate rats. Well, except those that appear in Disney movies.

2. I am happy to report that I did finally go for that manicure I'd been dying to have. I went Sunday afternoon all by little (or big) lonesome. It was pleasant. I chose the color "Give Me the Moon" by OPI. A lovely silverish blue color. And as luck would have it I broke a nail just an hour or so before going to get my mani so I ended up getting all my nails cut back. Bummer. But thankfully they are growing again. I wish I was tallented enough to paint my own nails though. I always make such a mess. It's mostly with my left hand trying to paint the right. I am not good with using the left hand. It's ugly.

3. Peanut is enjoying kindergarten so far. He really likes lunch. All he kept telling me on Monday about going to school on Wednesday was that he wanted to eat a "buger" (aka buRger) in the lunchroom. Fine. So when he called me afterschool yesterday to tell me about his day I asked how lunch was. "Good. I had a buger." I asked what else he had. "Lots of stuff. They had circle watermelon but I didn't get that." So, what did you do today? "Lots of things. Bye mom." Nice. Today he was excited to go to school again. Still ready for lunchtime. The menu today was baked potato bar or chicken fajita wraps. He said he was gonna get the chicken but they may be because I lied about what it would be like. I told him it was the same as the chicken at his fave Mexican restaraunt. teehee I'm so mean to my kids.

Almost WW

We were doing a little tax free shopping over the weekend. While at the mall, I browsed through TJ Maxx. I usually hate to sift through racks of clothes like they have. I'm more of a "see the entire ensamble on one rack" and buy it type of shopper, though that rarely happens. Anyway. I DID sift through the racks at the Maxx and look what I found. LOL I immediately took out my phone for a picture, sent it to hubby who said, "GET IT!" Um, heck no. Just because it's hilarious does NOT mean I want to buy it and you can forget me wearing it. Funniest part was it's one of thos cut off above the waist shirts from the 80s. Nice. Anyhoo...

I have an addiction.

If you aren't on Pinterest, go there. You need to.
If you have tons of spare time you should rush over there now.

I admit to spending more time on there now than I do FB or in bloggy land.
I spend a lot of time pinning and re-pinning.
It's fun.

Lots of crafts and home projects and fashion.
All things I want to do.
Decor ideas for the house.
Clothes I want to wear.
Quotes and sayings.
Recipes of all kinds of yummy goodies.

Here are some of my latest fave pins.

Three Things Thursday

1. I want a manicure so bad. I know I keep saying this but really it's true. And I have been thinking about it nonstop. However, there is just not enough time in the day. It's not like I can leave work for lunch to go get all prettied up. I wish I could though. Don't we all!? haha Hubby keeps telling me (almost every evening) to just go but by the time I get home it's just too much of a hassle to drive back into town for that. Sigh. I guess it's a good sign though that I have my priorities in line, right. Maybe this weekend.

2. Football season has officially started. Well, practices have started. Tomorrow night will be a scrimmage. I think tonight the Tornadoes are practicing with/against another team. I can't really remember. I do listen (ahem, that's for the hubby) but it all starts running together at the beginning of the season. I will be more "alert" with details (I think) once we get past the jamboree and into regular games. The jamboree is next Friday. It's on home turf which is nice. I always hate going to another school, esp for the jamboree. I don't particularly care for the jamboree to be honest. It's hot for one. For two, well they bore me. But I mostly hate it because it's hot and I can't stand chasing the kids around. There I said it. I'd much rather go to games solo. I know that sounds awful, but at least you can get honesty from me. :)

3. I posted twice in one day on this here little blog of mine. Did I earn a cookie? No, wait.. what about a cupcake? I love cupcakes. I think I should get one. I mean it's been a monumental day for me with sending my last born baby off to big kid school and all. haha

The big K!

Today was my sweet baby boy's first day at REAL big school. He is now a kindergartener. I can hardly believe it. He went from this ......
Playful little guy.

To this....
huge big kid ready for school.

We had special "first day of kindergarten" breakfast. Daddy made delicious pancakes with a side of bacon and sausage. And Peanut woke up early (like earlier than ever in the last 4 years!) and was pretty excited.
Mommy and big sis dropped him off in his classroom. His regular teacher (same one Belle had for K) is out on maternity leave right now and we are excited for her to come back. :) Anyway, around here they do staggered schedules for Kindergarten kids. So, today was really just a fun play day for only a few of the kids in his class. He also goes 2 half days next week and on the 15th will go all day for the rest of the year.

Mommy did NOT cry today. It was pretty easy. I imagine next week will be too. But on the 15th is when it will probably hit hardest since that's when it becomes more than just fun and games. At that point he will meet all the kids in his class and start doing REAL big kid school work. At any rate I am just excited that Peanut seems happy to be going to school. He was funny last night while Annabelle was doing her homework...he sat at the table with her writing his name on a piece of paper. So cute. :)

And just a few more pics from the morning....

I have a 3rd grader!!

Time has definitely flown by. I can hardly believe that my big girl is now in 3rd grade. It feels like I was just sending her off to kindergarten. This year is big for her. She will be learning multiplication (which she is excited about...for now) and this will be her first year taking the state's standardized tests. I'm sure there are other things that will be new for her but these two stick out to me. I'm happy she is excited and just really hope 3rd grade is a great year for her. She was super super happy this morning. Last night on the way home she said, "Mom, I don't think I can eat dinner or sleep tonight because I am just too excited about going back to school!"

First day of kindergarten

First day of 1st grade

First day of 2nd grade

First day of 3rd grade

Annabelle picked out her own outfit today.
Her shirt reads, "Do these glasses make me look smart?" :)
Yes, they sure do and you are smart my sweet girl!
I can't wait to hear all about her first day of 3rd grade.

Monday Mishmash (yeah, it's a word)

Maybe a word I made up, but mish mash is a word... at least for me today. ;)

It has definitely been a Monday...at least in the office for me.
Remember those days I was "complaining" about being a bit bored at work?
Right, me too. And today I am eating my words and trying NOT to choke. My desk has been covered since I walked in the door. This is a good thing as it keeps me busy rather than me trying to look busy. A positive, I promise. I'm just not the World Champion in Looking Busy. But I can totally dig being busy...I think.

Today was the absolute last day of summer for my Sweet Belle. She starts 3rd grade tomorrow. How did THAT happen?? She looked like this...
only a few days ago. I have no clue how she turned into a 3rd grader overnight. Whoa. Freeze time??

Anyhoo..
I got the kids backpacks and school supplies all ready to go. Tonight's task (after work, the gym, a quick trip to the store, and dinner) is to really go through their clothes. I swore I was going to do that this weekend (and every weekend since school let out in May) but just kept on putting it off. Boo hiss, I hate procrastinating! So, tonight it is.  I have a plan.

~shower because after an hour+ at the gym I will be a complete sweaty mess
~dinner
~dump all 39,485,723,847 articles of clothing into living room floor and attack the madness.

Anyone wanna come help??
Fine. Be that way.

Also on the agenda for tonight is to iron clothes and pack lunches...at least for me and my sweet girl. Peanut doesn't go to school (first day of K, *tear*) until Thursday (half day). So, he still gets to hang out with Mamaw and Papaw a few more days. He only goes 2 half days next week and then the following week (which will be Belle's 3rd full week) will be full time. I go back and forth on whether I think he is ready. He's gotta be ready. Period. But let me also say, I am still not ready. He's my baby. Like the last baby, seriously.

I have also gone back and forth on having  another baby. I mean look how cute my kids are....
I make some cute kids, huh!?
Oh well. It is not gonna happen. As much as I would *love* to love another baby I just cannot go there. As much as I am sad (admit it, it is bittersweet when they grow up) to see my baby go off to big school I am still happy. School is a big deal. I can't wait to hear all about their first days and new friends and help with homework (I may be stretching the truth there).  Both kids are actually anxious to get started on school work. They asked all weekend if we could make flash cards, do math and read. My only hope is they are as eager in the coming weeks! haha

This post was going to be a rambling of my thoughts but it didn't really turn into that. Actually, I was going to be different and do my randoms today instead of tomorrow because I planned tomorrow's post already (Take that procrastinator!!) and needed an excuse to blog today...hmmm. Anyway...

I work next door to a music store. For the last hour I have heard, "Check 1, 2..check check 1, 2.." I keep yelling out "SEVEN!!!!" No one has heard me yet or at least if they have they don't find me funny. What I really want is for them to test their mics out with a different phrase. This "check, check" business is old.

In case you didn't know, I'm a runner. For real. The last 2 years (or longer) I spent trying to run 5ks. I think total I ran about 12. I ran a half marathon in April of this year. I tell you this because right now I am looking at my schedule which includes 2 half marathons in the fall and I am already planning to run the same half marathon I completed in April, next spring. It's on April Fool's Day. Too funny. I blog about my running here. Tell your friends. Follow me. It makes me feel good. ;) And for photographic proof (and because I love blogging with pictures)...

I am usually freezing to death, even in the heat of summer I sit in the office with my desk heater on. Lately I have been hot. For whatever reason my toes are freezing today. Weird. I refuse to turn on my desk heater today though since I only have 45 minutes left at work and beacuse I think it is part of what makes me sleepy in the afternoons.

Hubby and I had a lunch date today. We've been able to take a few this summer, some with the kids even. Today was our last lunch date for a while. With school and football being officially in full swing we just won't get to take any. :(  Our bank account might appreciate that though! haha

Ok..
enough rambling (mishmash, folks!!). You guys have a great evening!
