Talking to my 6 year old is quite humorous at times.
This afternoon she was talking about our dog and how much cuter she was when she was a puppy.
So, she asked "why" was the dog so cute when she was a puppy and why was she gray now.
The mean (her words, not mine) Mom that I am answered with, "Aging is brutal." Now I know my 6 year old didn't quite understand that so the sarcastic side of me went on to say, "Just think when you get older like me you may very well look like me!"
That girl!
"Well, Mom, at least you have pretty clothes."
Thanks, kid. Appreciate ya! ;)
Well, track season has officially started. That means that I get to spend my 8th wedding anniversary alone. Sort of. I do get to take my kids to dinner at Chickfila so they can play and I can finish up some GS Cookie stuff! ha, don't be too jealous! To celebrate our anniversary my hubby will be at the first track meet of the season. Fun. And this weekend instead of a romantic dinner out or weekend get away I signed us up to run a 5k race together. That's love, folks!
Wanna laugh AT me now?
Ok. Last week I took Annabelle in to get a hair cut and decided to have my eyebrows waxed too because I was seriously developing a major "fro brow." Well, normally I don't have Annabelle with me and I am in and out. Easy peasy. I was reminded WHY I don't take Annabelle with me to such appointments.
The girl is an absolute wiggly worm giggle box.
She was sitting on the end of the little bed I was laying on and was just being silly. I'd of course told her a few times to simmer down. Well, finally I had it. I got the Mom look on my face and the girl doing my brows lost it. I can't blame her. I knew at that moment what had happened.
We were all laughing so hard everyone in the salon was wondering what was going on.
Yep, I had opened my eyes so wide with all my fussing at Annabelle that my eyelashes got stuck to the fresh hot wax on my lower brow. Fun times.
Now you go and be random! :o)
