~ First of all I have to gripe about Blogger.. shame on me, right!? Well, here's the deali-O.. the last couple of days I have been reading and reading and reading lots of blogs. I have been trying HARD to comment on ALL the blogs I love and read, but .... blogger is refusing to let me. AND I AM NOT HAPPY!!! Tell me, are you having issues with this too? Have I done something in my settings (though that's unlikely) that would keep me from commenting?

~ I cannot wait for tomorrow. Exciting day for me. One I have waited for 2 years to get here and it is FINALLY here.

~ If you are a runner you probably know that tomorrow is National Running Day. This makes me excited too. I plan to run of course! You can run too, even if you aren't a runner you can be one. Believe me. And if you are still doubtful.. READ THIS and believe in yourself. YOU CAN! I promise.

~ We took the kids to see the new pup we picked out last week. The kids were super excited and then changed their minds (and ours) about which puppy we wanted to be ours. Funny how that happens. We should have just let them pick to begin with. Knowing they will be getting a new puppy sure has helped them get over what happened to sweet Aspen. They've even played in the backyard some this week. I am still a bit heartbroken and sad but each day is getting easier. We had originially picked a boy pup to bring home after vacation but the kids decided they wanted a girl pup. I can't wait until I can introduce her to you. They've named her the sweetest little name.

~We went to a water park yesterday. It was a lot of fun. Hubby wasn't feeling the fun when we got home. Apparently his skin is much paler than he thought it was. However, he blames me (sorta) for using last year's sunscreen. He swears that is the reason for his red hue. I say he knows how to shop just as well as I do. haha (love you honey!)

~ I started the Paleo method of eating today. Oh.M.Gee. I survived most of the day. I plan to write more about it here since that is wehre I try to list that info but let me tell you... with my running and current workout schedule it is definitely going to be tough work and take some modifying fo rme, I think.

~ Peanut started summer Kindergarten today. It's actually a kindergarten readiness program the county school system does. They only took 12 kids for the school we are zoned to go to, so when they called last week to see if I wanted to attend I was pretty excited. I figured any help other than what he got at preschool and what we do at home is a huge bonus. He seemed to have fun. I was worried because as soon as I pulled into the school this morning he says to me, "Mama, can you stay there with me a while?" Uhoh. Once we got in he was just really quiet. But I kissed him and went on my way. I hope he continues to do well. Maybe it'll make the regular school year and whole first day of school thing easier on me?? ha who am I kidding? I am gonna be the one doing all the crying come August. lol

~ Annabelle made me a necklace at the gym this afternoon. Yarn and beads...the best kind! I'm probably a bad mom because I didn't put it on until after we got home tonight. She'd love for me to wear it to work. Am I awful for taking it off when I get there? It counts if she sees me wear it out the door right?

~ The kids started the local youth track program tonight. Usually Annabelle is the one complaining about the heat and barely running. She made both of us so proud tonight. She didn't complain about how hot it is or how much she didn't want to participate. Isaiah did well too. I think he was pretty tired though! It was a long day for him.

~Finally, I wish I had a pool and a teaching degree. I would spend the majority of  my summer break floating in the pool. That's what all the cool teacher's do, right!? Um yeah.

See, I told you!

My kids have played with cicadas the last few days. In fact, I think the cicadas are the whole reason they have coped with the loss of Aspen they way they have. Peanut calls the cicadas "little buddy." Like, "Come here, little buddy." I kid you not. It's not normal, right!? This morning I was getting ready in the bathroom and hear those critters screaching like they were right on top of me...

And they pretty much were! Peanut had brought 2 in and was letting them crawl all over him. He has figured out that if he gets two and tries to stick them together they will screech really loud and wiggle their legs like they're fighting. Gross. They are so incredibly gross.

One landed on MY shirt when we were outside tonight. I was freaked out. But I remained calm until the little booger flew off. Peanut was going to get it off of me but really I was afraid he would stick it in my hair or something so I was glad it left me on it's own.

I am just so ready for the cicadas to leave all together now.

Three Things Thursday

1. We got cicadas. They're ugly. Like totally ugly. The worst part is they are so freakin' loud. And I do mean loud. Last night they were so loud that I had to ask hubby to turn the tv up because all I could here was the darn cicadas!! And no, we were not watching tv outside. lol Wanna see what these creatures look like or learn more about them? Go here. It's a news story posted in March but it's got some good pics and info. I'm ready for the annoyingly loud creatures to go.

2. We got hail. Not just a little bit either. Golf ball size. I left for lunch about 2:25 just minutes after my local weather guys said there was a storm headed in our direction that could possibly produce quarter sized hail. No biggie, that crap doesn't hit near here and the sun is still shining. BOY was I ever wrong!!!!! I thought I was driving through town in a rain storm with a bunch of angry golfers all around me.

3. I have beach fever! 25 days until my toes will be in the sand and my booty will be splashin in the waves with the kiddos. I can't wait. I am sooo ready for a vacation after the rough start we had to spring/summer. I look forward to our family vacation to the beach every year. This year we are headed to Hilton Head. We have not visited there since Annabelle was about 18 months old. So excited to go back!

Wordless Wednesday

Sometimes I wish I was a kid again!

Tuesday Randoms

~First of all, I want to thank everyone of you for your sweet words regarding the loss of our pup. Thank you for thinking of my precious children during this tough time for our family. We are coping but I can't lie..it is still hard!

~ To my new followers..hi, hello and welcome! Thanks for following along. :)

~ I haven't worked out in 2 days. And in case I have not mentioned it here.. I had a little fall Sunday when the hubby and I were out running. How, you say, does a 32 year old woman who runs almost everyday fall while running? I wish I knew. It was sudden. And it was at the crossing to the park, right in the middle of a busy 4 lane. Fun times. My body still aches.

~ Do you have boys? Did you know BOYS will be boys? Yeah, my boy is a total boy. Into everything, a daredevil of sorts and just absolutely NOT afraid of a thing. And accident/injury prone, sort of. The last week or so he's been into everything. He learned to ride his bike in like 2 hours without training wheels. He amazes me. He rides standing up! He balances that bike like he was born to be on it. And the funniest thing is that he keeps telling me his big sister must learn to ride without training wheels. It's killing him that she can't. But back to the accidents and such... last week we were at Children's Hospital for a case of torticollis, which he will finally be getting physical therapy for this coming Friday and we all can't wait. Poor guy screams just even shooting a basketball through a hoop (like yesterday) or being slightly bumped while dancing with his sister. And as gross as it is he woke up last week with a blasted ringworm (grody little fungus!!) on the middle of his back. And to top it off...he stepped on a piece of wood that was the home to a dirty old nail last night. I'm turning even more gray by the day with this boy.

~ Annabelle has a tiny cavity. She will be at the dentist getting a filling in about 10 minutes. I hate not being there but am very glad Daddy could take her. I know she's gonna be brave.

~ We decided to go ahead and get the kids (and us) a new puppy. We were going to wait but a lot of people advised against waiting too long. It's going to help us all through the grieving process of sweet Aspen. I miss that girl like crazy. It's a bit sad going home and knowing her sweet face isn't there to greet us. Hubby and I were put in contact with a local breeder who just had a litter of pups on Mother's Day (how sweet) and he happens to be a friend of someone I am friends with. It was tough for me going to look at new born pups yesterday. My heart still hurt and I wasn't overly excited, but we did pick out a puppy. He will be ready for us when we get home from our beach vacation next month. Annabelle told her daddy that it already helped her knowing that she would have another dog.

~ I'm taking Annabelle and our Girl Scout troop bowling tonight. Should be fun. I'm not much of a bowler though. Those preworn shoes and the thought of other people's sweaty feet in them grosses me out a lot.

~ I wish I could take naps during the day. Today is one day I would love a nap. I could seriously go to sleep now.

~1 hour and 2 minutes until quittin' time at the office. The countdown is totally on.

And just like that, our hearts broke.

Yesterday was a typical day in the life of two sweet kids and their playful pup. We put her in the kids bathroom on the way out the door for church, promises that we would be back to play soon...lots of kisses and plenty of hugs. And we were home, she was happy to see us all! Bouncing around, playful as can be...eating, drinking and napping like a sweet puppy should.

About 10:30 last night, Annabelle laid on the couch with Aspen and they dozed off. 15 minutes or so later, Daddy decided it was time to start heading to bed so he took Aspen out to do her business before bedtime. And that's when I heard him distressed, walking in the house with our sweet pup in his arms. She was lifeless. One cry for help...and boy did we ever try to help her.

He said she stretched on the front patio before walking to the grass and collapsing. She got up once, stretched again and collapsed once more. He picked her up, stiff body and all. They came running in the house. Our sweet baby pup lifeless...that one little cry.. us trying our best to do our version of puppy cpr..failing. In seconds, she was gone.

It was a very sad night. Today is equally as sad. We have no idea what happened to Aspen. She got a good, clean bill of health at the vet last week. She was playful, happy and very well loved. She got so much attention. We all had our own dreams and visions of how the future would be with her. :( Shattered in an instant. Shattered and we do not know why.

I called the emergency vet, but there just was nothing they could have done it was just too quick. We could have taken her for a puppy autopsy, but the vet said from the sounds of it it was likely cardiac and we just could not have known this would have happened.

It has been hard to handle. I think as a mother the worst part is the heartbreak my children feel. Annabelle had awoken when Daddy came into the house so she was with us and witnessed what happened in the few seconds it took place. While Daddy was digging the puppy grave, Annabelle picked her baby girl up and begged her to come back alive. Whispering, I know if Jesus can come back alive He has enough power to help my puppy.  I wanted for that to be so true. I wished that He could have brought Aspen back and erased the pain from all of our hearts. I held Annabelle and we cried a good long while.

We didn't sleep much last night. And I dreaded the morning coming, when we would have to break the news to Peanut. And as we suspected, Aspen was the first thing he asked for when he got out of bed. My heart aches for the pain he felt. His little 5 year old self burst into tears, burying his face in my chest as I held and rocked him and we had a good cry. Daddy showed him where Aspen laid to rest and where she would always be. He can't pet her but he can remember her because she will be there for him to visit.

A lot of love was shared with Sweet Aspen in the 11 short days we had her. A lot of tears will be shed the next few days..but we can rest knowing she didn't suffer long and we did try to help her. We loved her, cared for her and gave her a happy home for her short little life.

Meet Me on Monday (5-23)

I'm joining Java this week for Meet Me on Monday...a chance to get to know your fellow bloggers just a bit better.
This week's questions are:

1. What is your favorite bagel flavor?
I don't really eat a lot of bagels but if I had to choose a fave it would be cinnamon raisin. I really love the Thomas' bagel thins in cinnamon raisin with just a thin smidge of whipped cream cheese.

2. If you had an extra $100 right now, what would you spend it on?
New running digs. I am on the lookout for some (cheap) running compression shorts. I typically run in capri tights but really want to do shorts since it is so warm outside now. But I am too cheap to pay full price even if I had extra cash!
3. What is the last thing that you felt guilt about doing?
Lunch today. Chinese. AFTER having a horrible 4.5 mile run. The food kinda washed out the run or at least the calorie burn. Oh well.

4. Soft serve ice cream or hand dipped?
I love soft serve. My favorite is Chickfila's Icedream.

5. Are you allergic to anything?
B.S.
And I think you know what I mean. ;)
Other than that I am not sure I have any real allergies. I did eat too many strawberries as a kid and swlled up and broke out in some crazy rash. I also had an allergic reaction to softshell crab once. I still eat strawberries but have not eaten crab since the weird reaction to it.

Because she is just so cute!

She's such a fun girl that little Aspen! We took her to her first football game yesterday and she did amazing! She loved all the kids and wanted to play with them. I think she is partial to little boys though. There was a little blond boy there that she just could not get enough of! Super cute. Our big boxer is finally coming around to little Aspen and is getting a lot more tolerable of her playful puppy mannerisms. The only complaint by anyone in the house is from hubby. He isn't digging the middle of the night lick sessions that Aspen seems to want to have with him. teehee

3 Things Thursday

1. My morning commute is fun. It's short but often consist of "punch bug" games and 20 (bazillion) questions with my Peanut boy. Starting next week I am really going to miss my morning commute. School is officially out which means Daddy will be on kid duty and my morning drive will be spent alone. I won't get to answer questions like, "What kind of tractor is that?" with "yellow," and be told "No, mama, it's got a digger on the front."  Or the daily, "What are those poles and lines?" in reference to the power pole/lines. Another favorite has been, "Mama, why is daddy taller than you? Is it because he is older and you still have to grow?" Haha. Yes son, totally. And let's not forget, "Can we go to Chickfila?" I totally dread the first drive to work after dropping him off for his first day of Kindergarten. Please, stall summer.

2. Hubby has been in spring football practice the last couple of weeks. Tonight is their first scrimmage. I'm excited! As much as I complain about how long football season is and how little we sometimes see hubby I do love it. Remind me I said that come say..August. lol

3. Have I talked much about our new baby girl, Aspen? If not, let me tell you how awesome she is! We have a kennel/crate for her but it needs a few minor repairs before we use it so we have been leaving her in the kids bathroom during the day. Last week when we first got her I brought her to work with me but it isn't ideal for me to do that every day. Anyway, the bathroom it is for now. She does amazingly well! The first few days she cried when I put her in BUT the best part was coming home and finding no puddles of pee or piles of puppy poo! There was one day she was in there from 8am until 8:30 pm and the sweetie pie didn't make one mess! How is that for house/potty training a pup!?! She just turned 10 weeks old. Love her!

*I thought I had posted this last night but Blogger is a goof sometimes. So enjoy my TTT on Friday. :)

Wordless Wednesday - The Graduate

Pre-school class of 2011
and his proud Mama, who didn't cry! ;)

Tuesday Randoms

Not sure if I posted yesterday but I did think about it. I was going to try to be better about blogging. I'm sure if I didn't get around to it it's only because I got busy. Or I was at least pretending to look busy.

Last week we got a new puppy. She's been pretty darn good too. I brought her to work with me last week but decided this week she needed to learn to be left alone. We of course left her home Sunday while we went to church and I was amazed that she made no messes! We kept her in the kids bathroom with her blankie and toys. Sweet girl made this mama proud again yesterday because she didn't mess in there.

Also last week (Thurs) I asked Mr. Peanut to do Mama a favor by getting me a bottled water from the fridge. Seconds later we heard lots of crying and him saying he broke his neck. Obviously he did not break his neck but he did worry us quite a bit with all the crying and the way he was holding his neck even 45 minutes after saying it was broken. So, Daddy-O took him to Children's Hospital after being told to do so from the after hours nurse. Turns out Peanut boy had/has torticollis. We watched him on Friday before filling the steriod Rx and since he was still complaining we filled it. I'm still not sure what all he did to cause the strain in his neck but while playing with him yesterday he moved a certain way (thanks to me :( ) and cried again that his neck hurt. Hopefully this won't be a long term issue with him.

It really bugs me that the note about Annabelle's award ceremony at school, which is today at 12:15, didn't come home until YESTERDAY! Seriously, how do you expect some parents to make arrangements to go with that kind of head's up??? Ugh.

You know what else bugs me??
She never brought a single thing home about field day at her shcool. I asked and asked and asked some more, but she said they didn't have, aren't having it. Bummer. As a kid I always loved field day.

I like Kroger's brand of Cheese Bits better than the Nabisco (I think) Cheese Nips. Low fat variety, of course.

My hubby is pretty awesome. We couldn't find Peanut's black pants that he wants to wear with his shirt and tie tonight for graduation, so at 10 pm Mr. E went out to find a pair of pants. And this morning when I was laying in bed, trying to ignore my alarm clock and the fact that I told myself I was going to spin class this morning, my awesome hubby reminded me of how mad I would be at myself if I didn't get up and go. I'm thankful for the support and little nudge he gave me this morning.

I'm having a bad hair day. I hate that. My flat iron quit working last week and since I have naturally curly hair anyway (and I'm too cheap) I decided to just wear my hair curly for a while because it cuts out on time (and $$ I'd have to spend on a new flat iron) in the mornings. All I have to do is put mousse in, scrunch and hit the dryer with the diffuser on it and voila -done in less than 10 mins. BUT today...ick-o-rama on the curls. Something did not work out well. And you know why that stinks??? I planned on pictures tonight with my little preschool graduate. Ahhh...I know I know... all eyes on him.

Did you know it is difficult to eat yogurt with a fork?

June 1st is going to be a super exciting day for me. Well, sort of. After 2 hours of semi-torture it will be a good day. More to come. ;)

Hope you all have a fabulous Tuesday!

Meet our new baby!

Aspen Rose Dwyer
born March 8, 2011
We got her this week and I think all of us are totally in love with her.
She sleeps with Mama and Daddy at night but loves being right up against Daddy's back. She even sleeps all night (for the most part) and is a playful little love during the day. If we could only get the kids to stop arguing over her and stop picking her up so much!

Getting a new puppy seems to be the key to getting my Peanut to look AT my camera AND smile at the same time. I kid you not, this is the ONLY picture I have personally taken where the child is doing both! Who knew all we needed to do was buy the boy a puppy?!?

I'm kinda really a lot totally fond of her. Yep, I think that sums it up... I love her sweet face!!!

This girl...my Annabelle... now SHE is the one in love. I wish I had videoed the whole surprising the kids with a new puppy bit because Annabelle's reaction was priceless. She cried! Melted my heart.

Randoms for Tuesday

~ It was a gorgeous day here today. HOTTTT but beautiful. I sat in my office all.day.long. haha

~ I'm having my Girl Scout troop over to my house for some fun on Friday. My house is a wreck. Seriously. I need to sweep, run the steam mop, clean the bathrooms...should I even mention the clutter OR the kid's rooms?! Yet here I sit...with my priorities all in line...blogging of course! ;)

~ When I got to my inlaws to pick the kids up this afternoon my Peanut boy greeted me in the driveway to show me something super cool. He was SOOOOO excited. And that's when his Mommy realized he was no longer a baby. The training wheels have been taken off his bike. He rode that thing like a real big boy. And inside, mommy cried. I no longer have a baby.

~ This time next week I will really be crying. My baby graduates from preschool. Where did time go?

~ I have logged 378.44 miles in 2011 on DailyMile. I cannot believe my legs have moved that much. DailyMile also says I have burned 13 lbs. Too bad I haven't lost that much weight. Hmmm.

~ I love my Annabelle. When Biggest Loser was coming on I said, "Gosh, look how stinkin' skinny those women on BL are!" She says, "Mom, they aren't as skinny as you. Come on, do they have shirts they can't fit that are too big?" Haha LOVE IT!!!

~ Our family may be expanding tomorrow and I am over the moon excited. I'm probably more excited than the kids would be...or maybe I'm not. But still I am super excited. Yeah, I will post pics!

~ My Belle girl came home with a bad cough and slight low grade fever. Please, please, please let the OTC meds kick in and knock this crud outta her. I hate when my  kids are sick and of course with it being the end of the school year we just don't have time for this kind of mess.

Mother's Day - post 2

After church on Sunday my wonderful  hubby and super, cute kiddos took me to lunch. We'd had plans to make something at home but couldn't decide what to actually make. Food decisions are no fun in our house. And in case you did not know, every eat out joint in America is packed out the door on Mother's Day after church. BUT if you are lucky enough your local Chili's will have a corner booth in the bar area that is open and you will only have to wait 2 minutes to have someone wipe it down before it is all yours!

Yep. That's what we did. The food was good, the kids were ok and we were in and out in less time than we would have been should we have chosen to leave a name and take a buzzer. Total score!

We ran home after lunch to change clothes. It was a gorgeous day and the kids were begging to do something FUN!  Apparently going home and playing with your sibling while your parents nap is not a little kid's idea of fun. Whatever.

We went to the park! And it was FUN!
We also went for ice cream cones after the park. No pictures of that but I can assure you that at least one of the lovely peeps in the above photo had as much ice cream on their face as in their belly! ha

Mother's Day - post 1

From Annnabelle..
M- marvelis (Awww...thankfully she didn't say mean!)
O- on time (ha! She really has no idea)
T- thankful ( Yes, Thankful to be her mama)
H - helpful (I try, but often fail. Just glad she thinks otherwise!)
E- exiting (Hoping she meant exciting because otherwise I would feel guilty about any time I've spent away from home)
R - runer (This is my fave. Yes, sweetie, Mama IS a runner!)

Peanut has begged all weekend long to make tea. We made the tea tonight. And no one even drank it!
But I loved the little teapot and poem he made at preschool.

My awesome hubby went shopping and picked out cards as well as the lovely Willow Tree figure to add to my collection. Calla lillies are my favorite flower so he knew I would love the one he picked. He was right. It is definitely a favorite.
And of course he was sweet enough and let me pick out a little something. SO I ordered the necklace above (Half Marathon Mom!!) from LIft Your Sole. I love it.

This has been a great weekend with my family. More to come later on how we spent the rest of the day.
Happy Mother's Day to all the other moms out there. I hope you have had a wonderful day.

Soccer Saturday!

Peanut has been playing soccer for the last couple of months. I admit to being a horrible Mother (admitting just a day before Mother's Day takes guts!) and rarely take my camera to games and you can forget it being lugged to practice. ;) BUT today I decided to take it. Today was suppose to be the last game but we found out we will have to make up one game we missed. That game will be played Monday. I will *try* to take my camera but I am not too great at keeping such promises. lol

Anyway....
I took the camera. I snapped a few pics.

Pre-game. It would be too painful if he were to actually look at the camera.

All soccer champs go after the ball with their hands on their hips. ;)

First time being "goalie." He had his fingers up to his eyes showing Daddy that he was keeping his eyes on the ball.
Too bad he didn't put his feet to the ball...the other team scored twice while Peanut was manning the goal. Oops!

I have had a blast watching Peanut play soccer. He might not be the best little player on the team but to me he is still #1.

Tuesday Randoms

~ I cannot believe we are 3 days into May. This year seems to be flying by (for the most part). Some days (today, hello!?) seem to drag on and I find myself longing for Friday. Can it just be Friday already? Gah. 3 more days, 3 more days.

~Speaking of May. Shouldn't it be like 80 degrees out? Um. Today was warm(ish) and windy, then the rain came and now it's barely 50 degrees. I think. I read on the local news site that the mountains could see frost in the morning. Seriously, I want none of that.  Thankfully I am far enough away from those mountains. However, I will probably sporting long sleeves tomorrow.

~ We had a dinner fail tonight which resulted in dinner out. After the dinner fail it was time to make a decision about the dinner out. We have the hardest time making food decisions. One kid wants one thing, the other wants something totally different and often times Mommy and Daddy do not want either of the suggestions the kids offered up. Tough times. I'm sure some of you can relate. We ended up with Chickfila. I happen to love their buffalo sauce.

~ I wish there was....

~ I started the above sentence around the same time I told my hubby I wanted a piece of chocolate. Then it hit me  when I recalled having bought 3 Butterfinger eggs on %50 off just after Easter. Guess what I then learned??? Hubby ate the eggs. Major bummer. But I know I don't need the chocolate goodness afterall.

~ My hubby went to bed without me....at 9:40!

~ I need to do laundry. Would it be bad if I rewashed what is in the washing machine just to throw in 2 sports bras!? I'm sorta only partly serious. Or maybe I am 100% serious. Ugh. See, the problem is..I have 1 load in the dryer that I could very well toss on the couch with another load needing folded. I could then throw all the wash in the washer into the dryer and then put in a full load and go to bed. I could take the 2 sports bras I need out in the morning when I get up so they will be dry before I leave for work. OR I could be totally lazy and say to heck with it all.

~ I am striking out as Girl Scout troop leader lately. I missed one meeting and my lovely assistant held it for which I am thankful. We did not meet this week. We won't technically meet next week. BUT I have plans for Friday the 13th for my girls. I can't decide if this is good or bad. I am not superstitious at all though. We are cooking and tasting the food we cook. Ha! This should be loads of fun with 1st and 2nd graders!

~ I registered my baby boy for Kindergarten last week. The registration process went well. I have a feeling his Kindergarten testing will go ok. But that first day of school.....THAT is what I am concerned most about. I'm concerned for him and ME! I'm going to go hide in a corner in the fetal position with my blankie now. :(

Sunday Funday

We had a beautiful weekend here in East TN. Peanut had a soccer game Saturday and since I was injured I was unable to run. I dropped hubby off for his run and he met us all at the soccer game. We went to lunch as a family after the game and then hung out at home! It was SO nice to not be on the road running around all day like we tend to do. As bad as the kids wanted to go to Dollywood, I just did not have it in me.

So....
I promised them that Sunday after church we would do something fun. Hubby and I agreed on a picnic in the mountains. We even invited Papaw along because he was home alone. This meant the kids got to ride up with him in his little, red convertible. They were in heaven.

Sunday in pictures...
Peanut monkeyed around in the water and out. And let me tell you, that water was COLD!!!!!

Annabelle posed but was not as thrilled with playing in the cold water as her little brother.

Papaw slept.

Daddy tried to walk Peanut to a huge rock across the creek but that water was frigid. Peanut didn't mind, Daddy did!

I made Annabelle's day by letting her take a picture of me throwing a peace sign. I did not make the kissy/funny face she requested though. I'll leave that to the high school girl's hubby teaches. lol

We had a fabulous day. The weather ended up being perfect and the kids were relatively well behaved! I took a bazillion more pictures but it's late and I should get some shut eye. I hope you all had a great first day of May!
